/ privacy Your data. Your call.
What we collect when you register for a Neve event or use this site, why we collect it, and how to make us stop. Written to be read, not to be survived.
/ 01 Who we are
Neve Intelligence Ltd (“Neve”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales, is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this Privacy Policy. We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Registered office: 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU
Company number: 17293664
Data protection contact: contact@neveintelligence.com
/ 02 What we collect
Only what we need. Depending on how you reach us:
We do not ask for health data or any other special category data through our forms. Please don't send it to us.
/ 03 Where LinkedIn fits
When you register for a Neve event on LinkedIn, LinkedIn collects your details on its own platform and passes them to us so we can host you and follow up. LinkedIn handles your information under its own Privacy Policy, which is separate from this one and outside our control. Once your details reach us, this policy governs what happens next.
/ 04 Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To register you and let you in. Lawful basis: performing what you asked for when you signed up, and our legitimate interest in running the event.
- To send you what you signed up for. The joining link, reminders, and the replay afterwards. Lawful basis: the same.
- To tell you about Neve. Occasional updates on our work, the research, and future events, unless you opt out. Lawful basis: your consent and our legitimate interest in reaching people who chose to attend.
- To improve what we do. Understanding which sessions land and how the site is used. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest.
- To meet legal obligations where they apply. Lawful basis: compliance with a legal obligation.
Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe. Unsubscribing stops the marketing. We may still contact you about something you actively registered for.
/ 05 Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the providers who help us run our events and communications, and only so they can do that work for us:
- LinkedIn, the platform the event and registration run on.
- Brevo, our email platform, to send the joining link, reminders, the replay and updates.
- Google Analytics, to understand how this site is used.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
/ 06 International transfers
Some providers above sit outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on an approved safeguard, such as a UK adequacy decision or the International Data Transfer Agreement, so it stays protected to UK standards.
/ 07 How long we keep it
For as long as we need it to run the event and stay in touch about our work, and no longer than 24 months after your last interaction with us, unless the law requires longer. Ask us to delete it and we act promptly, keeping only the minimum needed to honour the request, such as keeping you off the mailing list.
/ 08 Cookies
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how it's used, which sets cookies on your device. You can control cookies through your browser settings and through any cookie banner shown on the site. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site behaves.
/ 09 Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can:
- ask for a copy of what we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete it;
- ask us to restrict or object to how we use it;
- ask us to transfer it to you or another provider, where that right applies;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
Email contact@neveintelligence.com to use any of them. No charge, and we'll respond within one month.
/ 10 Complaints
If we've handled your information badly, tell us first so we can fix it. You can also complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113.
/ 11 Changes
We may update this policy. When we do, the effective date at the top changes, and for anything significant we'll take reasonable steps to tell you.
